|| History ||Malice Mizer begin in
1992, when
Mana and
Közi, two guitarists from Matenrou (an other band) decide to create a band, given that they have the same vision of music.
The band's theme will be the
poor state of human, by the
malice and
tragic way, from where the name of Malice Mizer. Add that the band is very influenced by the
France, so we'll find many french words and winks to it into the songs, lyrics,... Their movie "
Verte Aile" will be filmed in France too.
So, Mana and Közi will be joined by three other members:
Tetsu (Vo.),
Yu~Ki (B.) and
Gaz (Dr.) who'll be quickly replaced by
Kami, in
1993.
Their made too demo tape:
Sans Logique and
Sadness, and an album:
Memoire, followed by an extension
Memoire DX, who countains awhich contains a bonus song called "
Baroque".
In
1994,
Tetsu leaves the band because troubles with Mana.
They give the
Tetsu's Last Live before his departure, and he will be replaced by
Gackt in
1995.
They make their first single,
Uruwashiki Kamen no Shôtaijo,
and their second album
Voyage ~sans retour~.
Malice Mizer becomes more famous, but it reach is peak with their third album,
Merveilles, who'll have the second place into the
Oricon top in 1998.
The dream takes end when
Gackt decides to leave Malice Mizer, the 19th January
1999 to begin his solo career. Worse, the 21th June of the same year,
Kami dies because of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Mana, Közi and Yu~Ki decided to not to replace him, and maked many tributes to him.
Their found a new vocalist,
Klaha in
2000.
They make a last album:
Bara no Seidou and three singles,
before they split up in
2001 for indefinite time.
