Nobuo Uematsu

Nobuo Uematsu is one of the greatest composers of video game soundtracks.
He was born in Kochi, on March 21st 1959.

He made many OSTs (Original SoundTracks) for several video games, but is most of all the Final Fantasy series composer.
His music suits perfectly the universe of these games.

He's also the pianist, composer, leader and founder of the metal band The Black Mages (article currently available in French).

Two albums were released :
-The Black Mages Featuring Battle Music of FINAL FANTASY (2003)
-The Black Mages II The Skies Above (2004)

As well as a DVD :
-The Black Mages Live (2003)

These are metal versions of Final Fantasy OSTs.

Nobuo Uematsu is an excellent pianist. We strongly advise you to listen to his piano versions (Piano Collections).
