Olivia Lufkin

Olivia Lufkin, sometimes called simply Olivia is a J-Rock artist born in Okinawa in december 9th 1979 from an American father and a Japanese mother, and was raised between Okinawa, California and Noth Carolina which explains her aptitude in singing a perfect english for a J-singer. When back to Okinawa after several years in the US she Okinawa's Actor's School and quickly became passionate with singing. When she is 16 she is casted for the idol band D&D. Later in 1998 she performs a song for the FIFA World Cup in France, but her solo career takes its start one year later with several singles released.
That's obviously the Olivia inspi Reira songs of the anime Nana which made her as famous as she is today.
Her style is somewhere between pop-rock and soft metal sounds. her clear voice is recognizable from thousands.
She has released 3 LPs and 6 EPs until now.

Latest album is Trinka Trink in 2008 (I think) but yeah she has a great voice. i believe it's all in working on her voice since beign little. You know, like an apneist who can stay under water 10 minutes when a normal being doesn't lasts more than 2 minutes without breathing. Training her voice since her childhood gave her that power and that breath technique to hold sounds. Practicing an instrument like piano (I think she does) surely helps as well.

Surely, her voice is soft, sweet and pure. This is not something you can work. Like Anna Tsuchiya who has a completly different voice for instance! Talent always needs to be reinforced with work and praactice anyway.
