They took the name of Dir en Grey (or Diru) in 1997. Before Kisaki (the bassist) left the band, they were called La:Sadie's.

Members :

Kaoru (guitar/leader) - Kaoru Niikura
Kyo (vocal) - Tooru Niimura
Die (guitar) - Daisuke Andou
Toshiya (bass) - Hara Toshimasa
Shinya (drums) - Shinya Terashi

More or less on the same wavelenght than D'espairsRay, Dir en Grey count a lot on a grim atmosphere. This is confirmed by their music videos !
